It has been my privilege to hold the position of Captain of Bowral Golf Club since March 2025. I am a Specialist Anaesthetist working in Bowral since 2011. My other qualification other than medicine, is that I hold a degree in winemaking having owned and run Battely Wines in Beechworth, Victoria before moving to the Southern Highlands. Other than golf, my loves are Meeghan, also an active member of the club, Bowie the Labradoodle, obviously all things vinous and a lifelong tragic passion for West Ham United having been born in the East End of London before emigrating with my parents in 1967 to Australia.

I'm a 52 year resident of the highlands who played golf as a junior on all the local courses including Bowral (prior to fairway watering). I currently own a turf management business involved in golf course renovation maintenance and construction and have been involved in Bowral golf clubs greens renovation programme. After a period not playing golf i have a renewed passion and look forward to contributing ti the ongoing success of the club.

A senior marketing professional with over 40 Years of International experience in Sports marketing, administration and fund raising/sponsorships. Working with International, National and local clubs and associations has given me a realistic perspective on presenting Bowral Golf Club to the community. Returning recently to the Southern Highlands meant joining and playing golf at Bowral Golf Club. The tradition, friendship and playing experience at Bowral Golf Club makes it the leading golf club in the Southern Highlands. My son and grandson love visiting and playing at Bowral and have now joined the club. Living close to the course means more practice, lunches with my wife at The Hastings and never being late for my tee time !
