I’ll take a 2 shot penalty but I’ll be damned if I’m going to play it as it lies.

Champion of Champions - 25th February 2025

As we all know this competition was rescheduled from November last year. We had Moss Vale and Bowral Champions battling it out. The Division 1 Champion from Highlands was unfortunately not available to play on this date and due to the small number of female members Highlands does not have a Division 2 Champion.

The 2024 Club Champions - Virginia Wozniak, Chris Irish, Carolyn Donovan and Judy Mcalpine.

Division 1 was won by the Moss Vale Champion - Christine Irish. Our Division 1 Champion Virginia Wozniak played a good round but it wasn’t her day. There is always next year!

Chris Irish being presented with the Div 1 Trophy.

Division 2 was won by our Judy Mcalpine by 1 point against Carolyn Donovan. Well done Judy! You played “HARD”

Judy Mcalpine being presented the Div 2 trophy and responding as only Judy can!! A very funny moment!

Congratulations to all the Club Champions, it was a good day and the competition was played in the best of spirits.

The rest of us enjoyed a 12-hole Ambrose game. All teams had a visiting player. The winning team was Wendy Burke, Rhonda Twomey and Kim Delaney (Highlands Golf Club). We all got in ahead of the Champions and were able to cheer the players as they finished up on the 18th.

Thank you to everyone who played on the day. A special thank you to Pippa Palmer for her great photography.

2025 Pennants Season!

The Bronze Plate team started the season last Friday, 7th March. Thank you to Meeghan Bourne for taking on the role of team Captain this year and Jane Clifford who has offered to play Captain when Meeghan is not available.

The first game was played at Belconnen against RMC. RMC was only able to field a team of 4 so did forfeit 1 game. Jane Clifford, Helen Egan, Chris Levy and Suzette Cassie represented Bowral. We came in with a score of 2 to 3 with RMC winning the day. This was Suzette’s first Pennants match and although she did not get a win she did keep her opponent on her toes! Thank you to Jane for Captaining the team, Meeghan was very unwell and unable to play. Meeghan is now recovering well!

This coming Friday, 13th March, Bowral will play Goulburn at Moss Vale. The team will be Jane Clifford (Captain), Barb Clayton, Helen Egan, Chris Levy and Suzette Cassie. Good luck to you all. At least you don’t have the long drive to Canberra this week.

Week 1 Team showing off our new Pennants shirts.

The Whales Tooth a 4BBB competition was played at Bowral Golf Club on Thursday 6th March. Andrea Tomlin and Barbara Clayton came in first with a very clear winning score of 46. You can see the Trophy being displayed on the bar in the club house. Congratulations to you both!
