Other News
The gardens around the Club House are going to be refreshed and beautified.
Penny McKenna is working with Andrea Tomlin on this project . Penny is hoping there are some members out there that would like to help out with this facelift and with the ongoing maintenance.
Do you love gardening and have an hour or so a week you can spare to help Penny? If so, please give Penny a call and find out all the details. Ideally Penny would like 2 or 3 people to help out, remember many hands make light work!
Results
Barbara McCathy Memorial Trophy – The final round was between Wendy Burke and Kate Flight. It was a close contest and our congratulations go out to them both. Kate was the winner on the day and will be awarded the Trophy at our end of year presentation.
The Golf NSW Medal rounds have now finished for the year and the winners are:-
The midweek competition: Div 1 – Sophie Rankine Div 2 – Carol Warner Div 3 – Sharon Rowe
The weekend competition: Div 1 – Michelle Alcock Div 2 – Jenny Ogg
Div 3 – Barb Mead
The Rosevale Plate - Sharon Rowe and Jenny Ogg will be fighting it out tomorrow in the finals of this event.
Both Sharon and Jenny are having a great year of golf. The qualifying round of this event was played on the 20th June and at that time Sharon had a Handicap of 35 and Jenny had a Handicap of 31. Sharon has since reduced her handicap to 33.6 (whilst taking nearly 2 months off golf for a holiday) and Jenny has reduced her handicap to 26.8!!!
No matter what the outcome of the game is tomorrow these two are definitely winners!!
Hastings and Meg Clarke only 4 players opted to play in this event. Helen Egan and Chris Levy fought it out last Friday, with Helen Egan winning on the day, congratulations to both of you.
Good luck to both Sue Flaxman and Di Bradhurst who will battle it out tomorrow. The winners will be decided in the next round.
I look forward to seeing you out on the course.
Cheers, Jan
