THE FIRST RULE OF PLAYING GOLF WELL IN THE RAIN IS TO ACCEPT THAT IT IS NOT FUN!!
The wise words above are from Shane Lowry and looks as if we agree!
With the threat of rain being too great we all took the option of staying in doors.
No golf for the girls today!
Just a gentle reminder: If you do decide not to play in a competition it is good manners to send a message or call the other players in your group. This is particularly important if you are pulling out on the day of play.
Most of the information in this blog was included in the email sent out on the 14th October.

NEWS and UPDATES
Sunday Social @ Bowral Golf Club
What a lovely day at the club. Perfect weather to sit out on the veranda and enjoy the sunshine.
The live music was provided by Tayvin Martin and was very enjoyable, next time we need to get him out on the veranda with us!
Some people played a round of golf first, some came for lunch and some just came to catch up with friends and enjoy a drink or two.
The day was very relaxing and I recommend you come down to the club when the next Sunday Social is on and enjoy a very pleasant afternoon with us.
Don’t forget Social Sundays are open events and friends and family are welcome to come along!
Below are a few pictures (thank you Sharon) that I thought you might enjoy seeing.
Hastings and Meg Clarke Trophy
The final round was played between Helen Egan and Di Bradhurst last Friday. Both played well and enjoyed the game. A big congratulations to Di who is the 2024 winner of the Trophy. Thank you to everyone who played in this event.
The Challenge Bowl
We are now up to Round 3. Please ensure this round is played by November 10th. Good luck to all the players!
The Club Championship Rounds
Round 1 – 17th October
Round 2 – 24th October
Round 3 – 31st October
Please remember this year there is the option to play in the Championship rounds in the afternoon for anyone who finds that more suitable.
Let’s all keep our fingers crossed for good weather (or at least no rain) for all the upcoming events we have on over the next few weeks. Good luck to everyone entering any or all of them. Play well and enjoy the game.
See you out on the course!
Cheers, Jan
